I've always loved earrings that looked like Christmas ornaments, but all the ones I've ever bought were plastic, easily scratched, and usually not quite Christmas colors. Like a metallic kelly green doesn't quite have the feel I'm looking for in a festive accessory.

I'm a big fan of those classic vintage ornaments from the 1940s, with the little scenes stenciled on. Those were the inspiration for my Christmas line of hand painted Christmas ornaments. (I know it's more work than stenciling, but once I had come this far, I might as well go all the way and hand paint each one so that they are all different and special. I can't help that I'm sentimental.)

So when designing Christmas earrings for myself, I figured what would be more festive than having holiday earrings that matched your Christmas tree! So now I have 4 different versions of these earrings: one to match each type of ornament I sell. Each pair is completed with earring hooks hand crafted from 14 Karat Gold Filled Wire, for a festive contrast to the silver ornament tops, and to ensure the earring wires don't tarnish in storage.
